A Supportive Space for Growth and Healing

Reaching out for support can be a meaningful step toward creating change in your life. Many people begin therapy when they feel overwhelmed, stuck in patterns that no longer serve them, or are carrying the impact of difficult experiences. You don’t have to navigate those challenges alone.

My goal is to provide a supportive and non-judgmental space where you can explore your thoughts, emotions, and experiences at your own pace. Therapy is a collaborative process, and meaningful progress happens when clients feel heard, respected, and supported.

My Background

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with nearly a decade of experience in the mental health field. My work has focused on supporting adults navigating challenges related to anxiety, depression, trauma, and major life transitions.

I earned my Master of Social Work from the University of Texas at Arlington, where my training focused on mental health and substance misuse. Throughout my career, I have worked with individuals facing a wide range of emotional and life challenges in both clinical and community settings.

These experiences have shaped my understanding of how trauma, stress, life experiences, and environment can impact mental and emotional well-being. My goal is to help individuals better understand these patterns while developing practical tools that support long-term healing and growth.

My Approach to Therapy

My approach to therapy is trauma-informed, collaborative, and tailored to each individual. I believe therapy should feel like a supportive partnership where clients can explore their experiences in a safe and respectful environment.

Rather than following a rigid formula, therapy is adapted to your unique experiences, goals, and needs. Together we work to better understand the patterns that may be contributing to stress or emotional pain, while developing strategies that support meaningful change.

Depending on your needs, therapy may incorporate approaches such as:

• Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
• Internal Family Systems (IFS) / Parts Work
• Solution-Focused Therapy
• Eye Movement Integration (EMI) trauma treatment
• Strength-based and mindfulness-informed approaches

These approaches can help clients develop greater self-awareness, process difficult experiences, and build practical coping strategies for navigating life’s challenges.

Areas of Focus

I work primarily with adults who may be experiencing:

• anxiety or chronic stress
• depression or emotional burnout
• the impact of past trauma
• life transitions and periods of uncertainty
• relationship challenges or self-esteem concerns
• patterns they would like to better understand and change

In addition to therapy services, I also provide Emotional Support Animal (ESA) evaluations and immigration psychological evaluations when professional documentation is required.

Specialized Psychological Evaluations

In addition to providing therapy, I conduct professional psychological evaluations for individuals who require documentation related to specific legal or housing situations.

This includes immigration psychological evaluations, which may support cases such as hardship waivers, asylum petitions, VAWA petitions, U-Visa applications, and other immigration-related matters. These evaluations involve a comprehensive clinical interview, psychological assessment, and the preparation of a professional report that may be used by immigration attorneys as part of legal documentation.

I have received specialized training in immigration psychological evaluations through Georgia King, as well as training through the Asylum Medicine Training Initiative, which focuses on documenting the psychological impact of trauma and persecution in immigration cases.

I also provide Emotional Support Animal (ESA) evaluations for individuals seeking documentation for housing accommodations. These evaluations are conducted through a thoughtful clinical assessment to determine whether an ESA may be an appropriate part of a person’s mental health care.

My goal during the evaluation process is to approach each assessment with care, professionalism, and sensitivity, while ensuring that documentation is clear, appropriate, and aligned with clinical and ethical standards.

Why I Became a Therapist?

For as long as I can remember, I have felt drawn to helping others. From an early age, I knew I wanted to pursue a career where I could support people as they navigated difficult experiences and worked toward healing.

As a trauma survivor myself, I understand how difficult it can be to reach out for help and to begin talking about experiences that may feel overwhelming or deeply personal. That understanding has shaped my passion for creating a supportive and compassionate space where individuals feel safe exploring their experiences at their own pace.

Because of this, I approach therapy with deep respect for the courage it takes to ask for support.

What Clients Often Appreciate About My Approach

Clients often share that they appreciate having a space where they can speak openly about their experiences without fear of judgment. My goal is to help individuals feel both supported and empowered as they work through challenges.

In our work together, we focus not only on understanding past experiences but also on developing practical tools and strategies that support lasting change, emotional resilience, and personal growth.

Outside the Therapy Room

Outside of my work as a therapist, I enjoy spending time with my animals and pets, which bring a lot of joy and balance to my life. I also enjoy traveling and experiencing new places and cultures whenever I have the opportunity.

Being outdoors is another way I recharge, and I enjoy activities such as hiking and spending time in nature. I also enjoy creative hobbies like crafting and cooking, which allow me to slow down and connect with the present moment.

These activities help me maintain balance and bring the same sense of curiosity, creativity, and appreciation for growth into my work with clients.

Taking the First Step
