Fees & Payment Options
Larson North Point Counseling is transitioning toward a specialized evaluation-focused practice, with an emphasis on immigration mental health evaluations, emotional support animal evaluations, trauma-informed documentation, and support for individuals navigating complex systems.
Our goal is to make pricing clear, predictable, and transparent before services begin. Evaluation services are offered on a private-pay basis and are not billed through insurance.
Limited individual therapy appointments may remain available depending on current caseload, clinician availability, and service fit. Existing therapy clients may continue under their current billing arrangements unless otherwise discussed directly.
Insurance & Private Pay Services
Evaluation services are private-pay services and are not billed through insurance. This includes immigration mental health evaluations, emotional support animal evaluations, forensic documentation, clinical letters, record review, attorney coordination, consultation, and expedited report preparation.
Insurance plans typically do not cover evaluations or documentation services completed for legal, housing, immigration, employment, or accommodation-related purposes.
Individual therapy availability is currently limited as Larson North Point Counseling transitions toward a specialized evaluation-focused practice. Current therapy clients may continue using their existing billing arrangements unless otherwise discussed directly.
At this time, new therapy openings may be limited and are accepted based on availability, clinical fit, and service capacity.
Immigration Evaluation Pricing
Immigration evaluations are offered through a tiered model so clients and attorneys can select the level of evaluation support that best fits the complexity of the case.
Tier 1: Essential Forensic Evaluation
$1,500
Best for straightforward immigration cases with a clear timeline and limited outside documentation.
This option may be appropriate for asylum, VAWA, U-Visa, T-Visa, hardship, or cancellation of removal cases where the primary need is a comprehensive clinical interview and formal written report.
Includes:
• Clinical intake and case review
• One extended telehealth evaluation interview
• Trauma-informed mental health assessment
• Use of clinically appropriate screening tools
• Formal written immigration evaluation report
• Standard report delivery timeline
Tier 2: Record-Integrated Evaluation
$1,850
Best for cases involving more complex trauma histories, hardship factors, family impact, or outside records that need to be reviewed and clinically integrated.
This option may be appropriate when the case includes medical records, police reports, school records, prior mental health documentation, legal declarations, family hardship concerns, or multiple layers of trauma.
Includes everything in Tier 1, plus:
• Additional clinical time for deeper history gathering
• Review and integration of relevant outside records
• More detailed discussion of trauma, hardship, family impact, or functional impairment
• Expanded clinical formulation and report detail
• Additional coordination when clinically appropriate
Tier 3: Comprehensive Case Readiness Package
$2,500
Best for high-stakes or complex cases involving significant trauma, multiple systems, extensive documentation, upcoming hearings, or additional support needs.
This option may be appropriate when the client would benefit from a more comprehensive evaluation process, prioritized timeline, additional preparation, and clinically appropriate documentation support.
Includes everything in Tier 2, plus:
• Priority 14-day report processing
• Additional evaluation or preparation time as clinically appropriate
• Forensic hearing preparation and coping support session
• Court accommodation recommendation letter, when clinically appropriate
• Personalized resource recommendations and transition planning support
Fees cover clinical time, assessment, documentation, report writing, record review, and professional expertise. Payment does not guarantee a diagnosis, recommendation, specific finding, or legal outcome.
Immigration Evaluation Add-On Options
À la carte options allow clients and attorneys to customize the evaluation process based on the specific needs of the case.
Not every case requires the same level of documentation, preparation, record review, or support. Add-on services allow clients to choose only the additional services that are clinically appropriate and relevant to their situation.
Add-on services are optional, discussed in advance, and provided only when clinically appropriate and within the scope of the evaluation.
-
Available to clients who have completed an immigration evaluation.
This 50-minute psychoeducational session is designed to help clients prepare emotionally for the stress of immigration-related hearings, interviews, or legal proceedings. The session may include grounding skills, distress tolerance strategies, nervous system regulation, window-of-tolerance education, and coping tools for managing trauma responses, anxiety, dissociation, or emotional overwhelm.
This service does not include legal advice, testimony coaching, or preparation of specific legal statements.
-
A brief consultation with legal counsel to answer questions regarding evaluation scope, report structure, clinical findings, diagnostic impressions, and recommended areas of inquiry. The evaluator remains independent and does not alter clinical findings based on legal strategy.
-
A formal clinical letter, when clinically appropriate, documenting trauma-related symptoms, functional limitations, or mental health concerns that may support a request for courtroom or hearing accommodations.
This may include recommendations related to virtual appearance, breaks, environmental considerations, or other trauma-informed accommodations. Final decisions remain with the court, immigration judge, or legal authority.
-
Available when new records, updated information, or additional clinical material must be reviewed and incorporated after the original report has been completed.
Future Care Coordination Options
As Larson North Point Counseling grows, additional care coordination options may become available for clients who would benefit from ongoing therapy after an evaluation.
Internal Treatment Handoff Briefing — $150
When available and clinically appropriate, this clinician-to-clinician briefing may support continuity of care by sharing diagnostic impressions, treatment goals, clinical observations, and trauma-informed considerations with a future treating clinician.
Warm Handoff Care Session — $200
When available and clinically appropriate, this joint session may include the client, evaluator, and future treating clinician to support a smoother transition into ongoing therapy and reduce the need for the client to repeatedly retell traumatic experiences.
Future care coordination services are not guaranteed and depend on clinician availability, client needs, clinical appropriateness, and service fit.
Immigration Evaluation Expedited Processing
Standard report timelines vary based on case complexity, documentation needs, and scheduling availability.
Expedited processing may be available when scheduling permits.
• 14-day report delivery: +$350
• 7-day report delivery: +$600
• 72-hour report delivery: +$1,000, subject to availability
Expedited processing fees accelerate report completion timelines only. They do not influence clinical findings, diagnoses, recommendations, or evaluation outcomes.
Immigration Evaluation Payment Options
For immigration evaluations, a 50% deposit is due at the time of scheduling. The remaining 50% balance is due before the completed report is released.
Payment arrangements may be available on a case-by-case basis for immigration evaluations.
Reports are not released until payment has been completed.
Important Evaluation Policies
No Guarantee Policy
Payment for an evaluation package, add-on service, or expedited timeline covers the clinician’s time, expertise, assessment process, report writing, record review, and professional judgment.
Payment does not guarantee a specific diagnosis, recommendation, clinical opinion, report conclusion, or legal outcome. The evaluator remains objective and independent.
No Court Testimony Policy
Larson North Point Counseling provides telehealth forensic immigration evaluations and written clinical documentation. The evaluator does not provide physical or virtual expert witness testimony in immigration court.
When clinically appropriate, the evaluator may provide written documentation or a court accommodation recommendation letter related to trauma symptoms, functional impact, or clinically supported accommodation needs.
Emotional Support Animal Evaluation Services
Larson North Point Counseling provides private-pay, telehealth emotional support animal evaluations for clients located in Texas, New Mexico, West Virginia, Virginia, and Maryland.
Our ESA evaluations are objective, clinically informed, and designed to assess whether an emotional support animal may be appropriate as part of a client’s mental health support needs.
ESA documentation is provided only when clinically appropriate and supported by the evaluation. Larson North Point Counseling does not sell ESA letters.
Two-Session ESA Evaluation Workflow
To support clinical integrity and avoid quick, transactional letter-writing, ESA evaluations use a structured two-session model.
Session 1: Comprehensive Mental Health Intake
The first session is a 45-to-50-minute clinical intake focused on mental health history, current symptoms, functional impact, coping strategies, housing-related needs, and the role the animal may play in symptom support or emotional regulation.
Session 2: Follow-Up Review & Recommendations
The second session is a 30-minute follow-up appointment focused on reviewing evaluation findings, clarifying clinical information, discussing personalized recommendations, and determining whether ESA documentation is clinically appropriate.
If documentation is clinically supported, the formal ESA letter is securely delivered within 7 calendar days after the second session.
