Helping Individuals Navigate Complex Systems
Through Evaluation, Advocacy, and Support
Specialized immigration evaluations, emotional support animal evaluations, trauma-informed therapy, and neurodiversity-affirming care across Texas, New Mexico, Virginia, West Virginia, and Maryland.
Whether you are navigating an immigration proceeding, seeking housing accommodations, pursuing greater self-understanding, or working toward healing from trauma, our goal is to provide thoughtful clinical expertise, meaningful support, and clear pathways forward.
Why This Work Matters
Many people come to therapy or evaluation services after years of feeling misunderstood, dismissed, or forced to prove experiences that are deeply personal.
Immigration proceedings, housing accommodations, disability-related supports, workplaces, schools, and healthcare systems often require clear documentation before a person’s needs are fully recognized. For individuals navigating trauma, neurodivergence, displacement, anxiety, depression, or major life transitions, this process can feel overwhelming and isolating.
At Larson North Point Counseling, our work is centered on helping people make sense of their experiences, document their needs clearly, and access the support, accommodations, and resources that may help them move forward.
We specialize in trauma-informed evaluations and support for individuals whose needs, identities, and lived experiences are often misunderstood by traditional systems. This is why our practice is increasingly focused on evaluations, assessment-informed care, and systems navigation. Whether you are seeking an immigration evaluation, an emotional support animal evaluation, trauma-informed therapy, or neurodiversity-affirming support, our goal is to provide thoughtful clinical expertise, meaningful documentation, and a clear path toward the next step.
Areas of Focus
At Larson North Point Counseling, our work centers on individuals whose stories, identities, needs, and lived experiences are often misunderstood, minimized, or difficult to explain within traditional systems of care.
We provide evaluation, documentation, therapy, and support for people navigating trauma, identity, neurodivergence, immigration stress, housing needs, and high-impact life transitions.
Meet Carmen Larson, LCSW
Carmen Larson is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and the owner of Larson North Point Counseling, a multi-state telehealth practice serving clients across Texas, New Mexico, Virginia, West Virginia, and Maryland.
Her work focuses on supporting individuals navigating trauma, identity, neurodivergence, immigration-related stress, housing needs, and other complex life circumstances. Carmen brings a trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and affirming approach to both therapy and evaluation services.
In addition to providing individual therapy, Carmen specializes in immigration mental health evaluations and emotional support animal evaluations. Her evaluation work is grounded in clinical integrity, objectivity, and the belief that clear documentation can help individuals access support, accommodations, protections, and resources that may otherwise remain out of reach.
Carmen has experience working with trauma survivors, immigrants, LGBTQ+ individuals, neurodivergent adults, veterans, first responders, and helping professionals. Her clinical interests include trauma and PTSD, domestic violence, sexual assault, human trafficking, anxiety, depression, cultural adjustment, neurodiversity-affirming care, and systems-related stress.
As Larson North Point Counseling continues to grow, Carmen is intentionally building the practice around specialized evaluations, trauma-informed care, neurodiversity-affirming services, and a long-term vision for collaborative, ethical, and sustainable mental health care.
Our Vision
Larson North Point Counseling is growing with intention.
Our long-term vision is to build a collaborative, values-driven practice that expands access to specialized evaluations, trauma-informed therapy, neurodiversity-affirming care, and supportive services for individuals navigating complex systems.
We believe high-quality care starts with supporting both clients and clinicians. When providers are respected, supported, and able to build sustainable careers, clients receive more thoughtful, consistent, and compassionate care.
As the practice grows, Larson North Point Counseling is working toward a model that offers clear pathways from evaluation to support, helping individuals access documentation, resources, referrals, and ongoing care when appropriate.
This vision is rooted in ethical practice, clinical integrity, accessibility, cultural responsiveness, and the belief that mental health services should help people feel understood rather than dismissed.
